Shipping to Lebanon

As of the morning of July 13, 2006, there is an air and sea blockade of Lebanon.

Beirut International Airport is closed to all air traffic.

All vessels mooring at Beirut Port are on hold until further notice.

News is sketchy, however we are told that vessels can neither berth, not can they leave the territorial waters of Lebanon.

All receivers have been asked to retrieve their cargoes that have already discharged at the port.

Any containers currently in transit to the port of Beirut will be held at the transshipment port until further notice.

With immediate effect, freight charges on all shipments to Beirut (including shipments in transit) must be on freight prepaid basis only.

TLG will not accept any shipments on freight collect basis (freight payable at destination) to Lebanon until further notice.

We are still forwarding shipments to the port in Beirut from all US ports.

You can contact your customer care team for bookings and rates on any shipments you may have.
